Tell us about the work you did in for The Wall Market.

Well, it’s colorful. The work is stuff I found exciting somehow, beautiful and that put a smile on my face. I hope people looking at the prints will have a similar experience. 

Do you have a favorite of the work you did on The Wall Market?

Maybe the snake moving towards the exhaust hole of the black car. That photograph was such a chance moment. That’s why I like it. You know, sometimes you’re just lucky to be at the right place at the right time. Having said that, I was chasing that snake around for a fair bit before the photo happened.

And what is the story behind it?

It’s from outside Los Angeles. A friend and I were in California for a road trip in that black rental car. We were parked by a convenience store somewhere rural and the snake was just there in the parking lot. I started shooting it moving towards our car. Weirdly, none of us saw it again after it disappeared under our car. So we were expecting the snake to reappear inside once we took off. Thankfully, it didn’t.

What influences you?

Everything, all things visual, really. And people, of course. Being open to Influence is important, I think. Sometimes though, I try to stay focused on my own thing.

What's one thing you still have from your childhood?

Curiosity, I hope.
