WHY WE DON’T DO POSTERS
The quality is better, the colors stand clearer and the art on your wall simply just stays great year after year.
What is it the difference between a poster and a print? It’s a fairly common question that we get at The Wall Market, and the answer is simply: quality. Primarily this comes down to the different printing methods. Posters are made digitally, coming straight from the computer to the printing press. Posters don’t have to dry after they have been made, and they can be produced an end- less amounts of times. It’s easy, fast, and indeed cheaper because of a lower production time. Whereas a fine art print requires printing plates, time to dry, and in general a few more dedicated steps. However, the end result is undeniably of a different printing quality. The method used is called offset printing, and allows for a much higher image resolution and quality. Ensuring that every detail and color is perfectly and consistently printed.
The truth is that posters can be very decorative, and we don’t try to diminish their value in any way. It’s simply a choice that we made at The Wall Market.
We believe in high quality, and in only offering the best. In order to do justice by the artworks we sell, and the artists that we represent, we have set the bar high, and have chosen the best printing method that we could find. In order to make sure that the art can still be for everyone we have negotiated a set price with our professional printing lab, which is fair to our artists and customers alike.
